Charge the charging case first. Plug your charging case into a power source using the included USB-C™ to USB-A cable.
Match the L & R indicators of the Pixel Buds to the charging case magnetized pockets.
Once they're in, press down to make sure the charging pins are firmly in place. After placing your earbuds in their pockets, secure the cord by wrapping it around the rim of the charging case so you can carry Pixel Buds while they are charging.
Honestly, I am a total fashion person since I have all these fashion backgrounds. If Google was a fashion brand then I wouldn't say I was a fan. But Google is a technology company so I think the design of the Buds is good enough for a pair of earphones. I like the simple round shape with a Google logo "G" in the middle. It clearly represents Google in a straight forward way. The size perfectly fit in the ear shape and the cord is a simple black string. A very minimal design I mean, I am not in love but also don't hate it.
Since the design is very simple I pretty much style them with every of my looks. Sometimes I wear them to work. My favorite go-to look is blazer+pencil skirt. In the spring and summer I would wear a pair of mules and in the fall and winter I would wear a pair of boots. But most of the time, I like to wear the Buds with my casual outfits. I always say if it's the end of the world, my look will be a hoodie plus a pair of jogger pants. Tell me who doesn't like that look??? We can't be friends lol! Just kidding I love you! Of course I also wear the Buds each time I go to the gym.
Except for the basic features(taking calls, listening to media), the major feature of the Pixel Buds is to well use Google Assistant in order to help us listen to the Google Translate through the Buds in real-time. That means if you are traveling outside of your country which people don't speak your language there, you can at least communicate with them in a basic translation with the help of the Google Translate. I watched some Google Pixel Buds review videos before and the translation sucks tbh. But! there's a but here! This time I tried myself and I gotta say Google definitely improved the Translate! 8 out of 10 of the translation I tested (you guys can watch my review video at the end of the post) were actually correct and I was so impressed!
I am not a professional music artist so I actually can't really tell the difference of all the earphones lol. BUT I do notice the sound quality of the Pixel Buds is very smooth and comfortable. Aren't these the most important?? I did some research and listed some professional terminologies below.
Bass-heavy, strong emphasis on lower range to get strong, deep bass
V-shaped, emphasis on bass and treble to give a more lively and dynamic sound
Flat, balanced and neutral sounding with all frequencies being equal
What do I score the Google Pixel Buds?
In general, I do think the Google Pixel Buds are a good investment if you are looking for a new pair of earphones. if you let me score them (0-10), I give it a 7.5 or 8. Pretty high right? For me the most important things to pick a pair of earphones are sound quality and the comfortability. The Pixel Buds don't have the perfect sound quality but they are better than any of my earphones I had before so I guess they are good. The Buds are also very lightweight(14g). When I wear them, I can barely feel the weight. The special design for the buds made them perfectly fit in my ear. See I guess I got nothing to complain! The only thing I would suggest Google or any technology companies is I hope in the future, earphones can do more than just listening to audios, taking calls and talking to your phone/home assistant(Siri, Google Assistant, Bixby and Alexa)
